other SEC teams is extremely obvious to honest, intelligent people. Being weak at the most important position is a constant with Drink as is his odd hesitancy to allow playing time and crucial game experience for backups and underclassmen when a game has been decided.
The inability to hold onto coordinators longer than a few years time is also a huge negative for the product on the field. The head coach being really good at offense or defense goes a long way towards fixing this problem but Drink's total cluelessness regarding game strategy and player development prevent him helping here.
He isn't a Gary Pinkel or a Matt Campbell who create a program so sound that down years are inevitably followed up by several years of success. Now that it's going sharply down you'll, IMO, see a drop then a stay right near the bottom.
Each fan is entitled to his or her opinion, of course. Just want to be on the record as to what I very clearly see coming.
