yet one more indication of how well Trump is doing this election cycle.
fwiw, I wonder whether California, New York, Illinois et al would actually follow through if Trump won the national popular vote, but lost in one of their states and then put him in the presidency... as extremely unlikely as that may be.
I don't think such a scenario will happen this time, but I think it would be possible at some point in the future that they may regret locking themselves into that action.
It would take the power away from the voters in their states and give it to the rest of the voters in the country in that eventuality.
