There are folks who live and breathe politics the way that many on these boards live and breathe sports. These are folks (mostly men, mostly republicans, not not always either) who are just genuinely interested in politics, political history, political current events, and policy.
JD Vance is this sort of person. Vivek Ramaswamy is this sort of person. Ron DeSantis, also, probably this sort of person.
These sorts of people can speak off the cuff to questions regarding politics and policy, because it's their natural interest in the same way that any of us could speak about their favorite baseball, football or basketball team. It's just what they do.
Kamala Harris doesn't seem to be this sort of person. It seems like she has no natural interest in politics or policy, and that's why she seems completely unprepared (compared to others) when asked questions about it. She doesn't seem entitled the way that Hillary seemed entitled - Hillary had put in the work, for sure.
Kamala I guess has been surrounded by people who think Trump is The Devil, and seems perplexed that someone might ask a question or challenge her on something, because, you know, Orange Man Bad so of course everyone should vote for her.
It's puzzling that the Dems couldn't find someone who was just naturally interested in politics to the point where they could just talk about it, but Harris ain't that.
