it does look like I made an error on the 3rd down conversions. I was talking about the stats
at the time when we were faced with 3rd & 7 at our own 28 yard line with 2:32 on the clock with a lead of 27-21, so I subtracted out those 2 successful attempts that followed. A little later I looked at it & thought I hadn't subtracted those two out so I did it again & edited my post. My bad. The correct stats
at that point in the game would have been 9 of 17 or a 52.9% success rate. That is obviously better, but not much better than a coin flip at that point, and probably less that 50% for that first attempt given that it was a 3rd and 7 from our own 28 yard line.
Had we not converted there, it would have been a very different game. They would have had great field position with 2:35 to go in the 4th quarter. They had marched 75 yards down the field to score a touchdown on their previous possession. It was a pressure situation. We did a great job in converting, but I do NOT think that it was a given and didn't think we had the game in the bag at the time. I doubt many fans left at that point in order to beat the crowd out of the stadium, or at least I hope that they didn't.

BC Missouri
3rd Down Conv 3-12 11-19
4th Down Conv 3-3 0-1
Those are end of game stats, so would need to be adjusted for a snapshot of the stats Kirby would have been looking at at the 2:35 mark at the end of the game.
fwiw, MU Tigers web page has us listed as 1-1 on 4th down conversions as well, so CBS Sports may have misstated that stat.
