That was from a headhunting company about a decade ago.

Me: well yes, I didn’t spend the past two months going through this process for my entertainment. Oh wait…yes, I understand.

They were not offering the job without knowing for certain I would accept it.


They checked our pulse & didn’t find a bargain “heart rate”
