automakers are going to feel the pain by lack of exported American cars to those counties because China can make $10,000 EVs and ship them to other countries more efficiently and affordable.

It is already happening. Chinese car companies like BYD, Sono, Jac, Karry, Zacua, Kaiyi, Maxus are already flooding the marketplace with them a lot cheaper than what US automakers can.

Chinese EVs have entered Japan.

Japan cares about their own automakers so instead of patching the problem with tariffs, they are trying to innovate and compete, such as Nissan and Honda teaming up
