AR and was completing the walk out paperwork at the customer service counter when a hood rat was wandering around the front door with his pants obviously packed full of merchandise. Manager asked if she could help him and he spun around like he was headed back into the store then did a 180 and went out the door. She told an employee to see if he could get a license plate and would have to check video to see how much he took. Their hands are tied regarding stopping these scumbags because corporate doesn't want a confrontation...

Yesterday the manager said they are slated to get an outdoor video system with license plate readers for the police department to access. Since most are using either stolen cars, stolen plates, or have warrants the LPR alerts the PD. There have been instances where the folks are inside stealing and come out to find their accomplice in cuffs. Plus KS just made organized retail theft involving 3 or more people a felony regardless of the property value.
