buy anything else.

It is exactly what I need for casual to semi-serious rides.

I do have a road bike for when I do a 50+ mile ride with a bike group but that is only a few times per year. Would prefer to sell it to free up space but wouldn't be able to keep up with them

Most of my rides are 10-25 miles on various surfaces and the 7.5 FX is always the right choice and I like sitting more upright for the view. It does add significant resistance on windy days but i just deal with it or go for a shorter ride

I do have a trail bike but it also rarely gets used. Let my nephew borrow that for riding with his friends for almost a year and had forgotten about it.

Basically for the money you can't beat Trek FX series. Yes there are better bikes but you will pay double or more to get there or be putting all kinds of custom items on it. If you already want to upgrade the 7.3FX just go to the 7.5FX or whatever the highest number is these days as it will be worth the xtra$

I used to ride with the Trek marketing group out of Middleton, WI many years ago over lunch hours
