He wasn't a gates fan from the start. So first year success was due to Kobe Brown who he inherited. Then we went 0-19 so he's right about the fact Gates sucks. And now recruiting wins are only because of NIL. If we're better next year and in future seasons, it's only because of NIL and spending more to overcome Gates shortcomings as a coach.

He's done the same thing with Drink, who he's was a fan of from the start.
