He got in over his head with a private (mafia type) bookie. He was given a choice to borrow money from his brother or throw some prop bets. His pride told him not to go to his brother so he threw the bets.

As TheWlildcat pointed out below…the day he was busted the most action on any prop bets in the entire NBA that night was on Jontay Porter unders??? And not just under prop bets, but under prop bet PARLAYS!!!

And the same type of specific bets were placed at dozens of Casinos in Vegas…and they all hit!!!

And he mysteriously leaves the first game with an alleged eye injury a few mins into the game, and then again the next game leave with a mysterious illness.

Hmmm…I mean come on man.
