and most of my posts from that day/week were blasting the AD for giving Gates such a massive buyout. For example...

Notice in the replies how much backlash I received for being critical of Gates that week.
"Racist Sue"... "Drink apologist doesn't like Gates, I wonder why..." Again, that was the same day as the post you linked to (March 19) to give you an idea of what I was dealing with. Here's another example from the same day, an entire thread devoted to attacking my character and position towards Gates:

(2) You cherry-picked that post and took it way out of context. Up to that point, I had criticized Gates and his hiring to such an extent that most of the board was painting me as a Gates-hating "racist". If you recall, it was basically me against the entire board.
So I decided to make my final post of the season a *positive* one, intentionally omitting the criticisms I made throughout the season and replacing them with some positive spin (yes, I do that from time to time). The stuff I pointed out all season long – the weak schedule (SoS), extreme statistical luck, inheriting Kobe Brown from Cuonzo – none of that was mentioned. I wanted to end on a positive note because of the backlash. However, even in that puff piece you cherry-picked, I emphasized how much of a mistake it was to give Gates a massive buyout and extension.
So, this isn't the '
gotcha' you seem to think it is.
