Which is what part of the military do you mean. We need a strong air and navy power, to include improved technology on both to at least keep up with our known enemies. But as to the army portion I strongly feel we overspend in that area and have for decades. Why do we station big numbers in Japan, Germany and elsewhere. How would they ever be used effectively and rationally.

They will NOT be. If we actually get into any major conflict we should use air power primarily and navy depending on the location. Such as the shore off Yemen and other shipping lanes.

We've developed nuclear power but now give the impression we're too gutless to ever use it. That makes zero sense. Our enemies need to know we could use it. If they don't...ITS A TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY AND EFFORT TO EVEN KEEP IT. Especially since the country is basically bankrupt at this point.

I want someone to tell me how and why I'm wrong.
