In this particular instance, you think you know what is best for a large group of people and are advocating something while firmly standing outside that group (by your own admission). When someone within that group tells you to "kindly go f*ck yourself", you dig in and don't change your ways.

If you don't see that as willfully ignorant, then you're willfully ignorant to the definition of the phrase, "willfully ignorant".
