OU not as used to this as others, but NIL is the great equalizer. The rules are really leveling the playing field. It used to be a team like Missouri couldn't compete to keep kids in state. OU had the upper hand on scholarship numbers, dollars under the table, facilities, and atmosphere. All of that is now negated. Scholarships are capped at 85, TV contracts and the move to the SEC have Mizzou's facilities at least at par with Oklahoma, Missouri is a bigger state w/ only on D-1 team, Missouri has 10 fortune 500 companies vs only 3 in Oklahoma for NIL. The playing field is getting leveled every year. We are going to start seeing more and more 2 loss teams playing in championship games and playoffs.
I'm not saying teams like Texas and Georgia still don't have advantages, but the days of teams like Oklahoma and Nebraska being dominate over a decade are behind them.
