beat the living hell out of Curt Flood when Flood made some inappropriate remark about Shannon's wife and that was one of the reasons Flood got traded to Philadelphia at the end of the 1969 season.

When Mike Shannon was in his prime he was strong as an ox and crazy as a loon. No way I'd take that nut on in a fight.
