with his haughty attitude after Onofrio had such universal respect among those same folks. When the last of Onofrio's recruits left Powers began fading fast.
That, and he made a fool of himself on more than one occasion in front some very influential and important alums, boosters and administration and embarrassed them with his antics. He wrote his own ticket out of town.
