has a book called “Out of Babylon” where he shows the western world has a lot in common with ancient Babylon in pursuit of materialism with little regard for the effects on others.
It’s basically a call to Christians that more focus needs to be put on helping others than how much **** we can acquire for ourselves.
Really it should be a scary thought being before God with God asking why we spent $300 on a 55 inch TV for a spare bedroom that is never used instead of taking that money and using it to help the poor. It shows the corruption in our values that a TV is worth more to us than fellow humans.
