The SEC adds Texas & OU to have sixteen members in twelve states.

Those states currently have a total population of about 106 million. Texas leads with roughly 32 to 34 million followed by Florida with about 22 to 24 million, Georgia with about 12 million and Tennessee and Missouri with 6 million each.

Texas and Florida are considered to be two of the top three talent producing states in the nation. California is the third.

It’s not a level playing field.
