contemplating what ifs. I was doing it before the KSU game... If we can pull off this fairly minor upset, we could be 5-0 heading into the LSU game... and if we could pull off that win we could possibly be 8-0 heading to Athens.
But there is a downside. A couple of weeks ago there were multiple threads about who we should get to replace Drink and how soon we could fire him and still afford the buyouts. There were also threads about how worthless Brady Cook was and the Imo's Pizza sponsorship of Brady & Luther were making Drink make absurdly stupid personnel decisions.
After the Middle Tennessee victory the daggers were really coming out. But someone made the comment that if we beat KSU Tigerboard would flip on a dime and people would be talking about our chances national championship. They were quite prescient.
From my point of view fans can speculate and dream all they want. But others also are free to try and moderate the enthusiasm or try and gin up the fans when they're all upset about a loss and all of the poor decisions, whether from the coaches, the players or the refs that helped to bring about that loss.
It seems to me that fans doing that type of moderating of emotions may go to extremes at times, but they can also serve a valuable service in reducing the bi-polar mood swings, or the whipsawing or roller coaster ride or whatever metaphors one may prefer.
Those opinions too can add to the discussion on here.
