hokie, but I'm very concerned with newsworthy incidents that are watering down self defense.
You've seen that with Rittenhouse, Daniel Penny, and Andrew Lester in recent times. Proponents for prosecution take an overly mechanical approach to a complex, split second situation and they also operate with the benefit of hindsight.
Further, as I've noted on here, I believe there is a cultural revolution occurring in the US (not for the better), and limiting the natural right to self defense is one of many trophies to that movement.
So, my bias starts with supporting self defense in these instances.
