Over 20% of Mizzou's AD revenue is from donors. All those donations go in to the athletic department's coffers to be used however they see fit.

Yes, there are times when a donor gives money for a new building or something specific.

But I think any AD that's not working directly with donors to spread donations across NIL and directly to the AD is making a huge mistake. Until the NCAA provides some concrete rules to prevent this sort of collusion, smart schools will do it.
