Incredibly unrealistic in the course of not only Mizzou history, but all non blue bloods.
Mizzou has won the SEC East division as many times as it won the Big 12 North.
Mizzou is also middle of the pack in the SEC in terms of wins since it moved to the SEC. Mizzou was in the same spot when it left the Big 12.
Mizzou had 6 losing regular season in the Big 12, in the SEC there has been 3.
These are facts. Losing Pinkel hurt as they have been doing the coaching shuffle.
I have already brought up the Bball issue. Its a string of terrible hires and bad management from the AD. Hiring Anderson would not have mattered no matter what conference Mizzou played in. It sucked. Worst 3 year stretch in history. CM brought back some life and now Gates seems like a homerun hire.
KC media just trying to get clicks and reactions in this era of "news". There isn't any SEC beat or Mizzou insiders.
I can see where Mizzou just didn't "take off" but they have not been anything other what they have shown in the past.
*Mizzou has been ranked (Preseason, Inseason, Postseason) 10 times in the Big 12, including the 6 in a row from one of the greatest runs in Program history. Mizzou had never done in that in the history of the program. In the SEC, they have been ranked 6 times. Mizzou still has 4 or 5 years to catch up to that number
