both missouri and N were victims of randomness, it seems. they were in the right place at the correct moment. but nothing has turned out well for them after leaving, sans the balance sheet. and after a time there's not much glow in watching dollars funnel through the enterprise without championships. that's been particularly acute in lincoln where the once proud huskers have languished for over two decades now. their fans are a bit more circumspect and forthcoming than missouri's.
