Hadn’t thought about the Covid issue ever, but it makes sense as another factor. I still think it’s a net plus that players have greater leeway now to transfer without penalties, although I know not everyone agrees with that. Each case really is unique. I played college sports (a lifetime ago) and transferred once, had nothing to do with any of the reasons mentioned in this thread. As a fan I’d like to know more about why this player or that player left, but often the reasons are very personal. And very few who transfer because of issues with coaches or teammates say anything publicly about it, although there are exceptions.
I’m really looking forward to this upcoming VB season, it’s a real opportunity for the start of a great comeback story. Hoping Sullivan is up for that. While WVB is ruled by the same 8-10 teams every year, there is no reason Mizzou can’t compete for a national seed and home regional every year. Hoping to be able to attend games in a few months. And looking forward to more VB discussion from you and others here. It’s been a rough couple of years.
