Volleyball portal update...

Jasmine Dulan announced last week she is going to Drake. She was one of 9 players from last years team with eligibility remaining who entered the portal. Wonder if 9 players transferring out in a team sport other than football is some kind of record for P5 schools.

The only one of those 9 players who I don’t see has announced her new school is Skylar Buckley, younger sister of last years starting setter Riley Buckley. 4 of the transfers landed at P5 conferences. Here’s the updated list:

Dixon: Florida
Cox: Western Kentucky
R. Buckley: TCU
Mangual-Duran: Virginia Tech
Zatechka: Arizona St
Strasser: Grand Canyon
Lyon: SLU
Dulan: Drake
S. Buckley: unannounced

Wonder if the younger Buckley is going to follow her sister to TCU. She already transferred once, coming here after signing with Miss St and redshirting her freshman season there, no don’t think she can transfer somewhere and play right away. I believe the window for transferring again and playing right away after a coaching change has passed.

Going to be an interesting season coming up, hopefully one of the biggest rebound stories in SEC VB.
