Mack Rhoades doesn’t hire bums. Look at this track record of coaching hires.

Odom was seen as an up and coming DC that was already on the staff and most likely was the best option that wanted the huge challenge it was at the time.

KA was a forced hire from Tim Wolfe because it was a connection to the Norm era, when there were tons of better options.
