KU now has significantly less financial resources than MU has, due to the ever-widening gap between the B1G/SEC and everyone else.
If KU can afford 7-figure bribes for top prospects in basketball, then so can MU.
But for that to happen, the AD will have to start encouraging top donors to contribute to "NIL" collectives instead of the AD's cofferes.
Schools that are serious about winning are already doing that, even though it means less money for the AD in the short-term. Longer-term, those elite players will pay for themselves via winning.
In college sports, there's no greater ROI than bribing a top player. MU still hasn't realized that, even now that it's essentially being allowed out in the open.
