through the life of his contract of $10M/year. If you leave it alone, then you have a much better out of only $2M of dead money next year. I'd be surprised if he restructures. Regardless of what you think he is or isn't, Chiefs signed him to this contract and it makes no sense to release him. It makes very little sense to restructure if you don't think he's worth it. Restructuring is just kicking the can down the road.
