Columbia River Knife & Tool carries some nice knives. Most have a lifetime warranty and a few years ago I lost a clip screw from my Ken Onion Ripple. Reached out to them and got a new screw sent free of charge.
Lost a frame screw and spacer about 6 weeks ago. Went to the web site and used the portal to request new parts. Heard nothing back and had no confirmation my request had been received.
So 3 weeks ago I go to the web site and e-mail customer service. Get a response back all parts requests must go thru the web portal.
So I go back to the web portal and make another request. 3 weeks later still nothing.
So I call customer service yesterday and some Gen Z chick answers the phone. Explain the situation. "All parts requests must go thru the on-line portal." I've tried that....twice. "Well you should get a confirmation email." I didn't either time. "Did you check your spam folder?" Yes, both times.
Asks for my name. "Oh it showed we shipped out a screw." Check again, that's probably from a few years ago. "OH, you're right."
Finally get her to concede they have had problems with their online web portal and orders getting lost.
Takes my info and says the parts will ship out.
Damn. Took me about 20 minutes of resistance to end up where I knew we were headed eventually.
