The only metrics that should matter is whether your school can win championships with the culture and money a school has, in the league it chooses to affiliate with.
TX, AM, Okie, Nub and especially Mizzou sure did not enhance their chances of winning big. But the money is good. So I guess fewer trophies is the price to get the money and being able to say they are in one of the 2 most important leagues. But it’s all gonna be cold comfort to fans when they are not winning big as often. I guess for Mizzou they might as well take the money because they couldn’t win the Big 12 anymore than they’ve won in the SEC. My guess is the new B12 would be a bit easier for MU now that all the blueblood football programs have left but who really knows?
