why it should be abolished. It also ignores some simple math. Today someone getting SS will usually make much more than when they started work, largely because of inflation and automatic increases. If you think Americans would have saved enough till today to equal SS I think you're very wrong. Americans are not that responsible anymore.
My wife and I saved little but we did invest. So that, along with around 65K/yr in SS is plenty for us.
