abolishing social security. But the devil is in the details. In is current configuration it is basically a Ponzi scheme. If we were to eliminate it tomorrow what happens to the current workers who have contributed billions of dollars throughout their working lives on the promise that they would one day receive a benefit from that.

No one should rely solely on SS for their retirement but for most Americans it is a significant portion and to have it yanked would be devastating.

Give us some details, how would you go about phasing out SS?
