I am sure there are plenty of middle of the road players I am missing also from the midwest area mentioned. Point being, CA has 39mm people, MO/KS/NE/IA only have 15mm, by your own comparison this is apples to oranges analysis any way you look at it. If you look at the number of good players per capita from the midwest vs. CA, it may just give you the answer you need why it is easier and more affordable to hunt in your own backyard.
