1) that 2019 team was supposed to contend for 2nd in the division, expectations were high and 2020 was going to be seen as a step back after a great year. This made the loss in the opener and 5 game losing streak at the end of the year much more difficult to handle
2) expectations are much lower this year and it would be a bridge type of situation until the blue chip kid is ready to go. 2023 will be the opposite of 2020 in terms of expectations, which makes going 6-6 a lot easier to handle
