below 930 meant you were not eligible for postseason play.

Our multiyear score for 2015-16 of 934 was composed of the following individual seasons:

2016 -- 930
2015 -- 976
2014 -- 851
2013 -- 960

the 2016 single year score of 930 was a made up number, barely pushing us above that threshold. Further if the 960 score of 2013 rolled out of the calculation and we didn't replace it with a high 2017 score the next coach would be handcuffed.

Granted we were no longer making an serious attempt at being a program at that point but correct tabulations would have resulted in postseason ineligility. Although we also made up an NCAA investigation and put ourselves on a postseason ban in that era while getting last in the SEC every year so I suppose an argument could be made it didn't really matter.
