We are all free to go elsewhere. In the same way that the america haters are free to leave this country. The rules are established in the constitution and those who believe those rules to be unnecessary or unfair or unkind may leave. They can ignore the rules and break them, but there may be consequences to those actions.
The claim of sovereign citizen is bullshjt and generates no sympathy here.
I may not agree with their decisions but that is my problem not theirs. If the moderators wish to force posters to abide by their opinions and their preferences they may do so.
It would be nice however if the rules were written down and clearly understood.
Your question was typically vague so in the event that you were soliciting my opinion on what rules if any should be in effect i would offer the following:
Profanity other than hell or damn will not be permitted.
Neither will shjt, f*ck, or my personal favorite FLICK OFF.
Calling someone stupid is fine providing there are examples or evidence and the post includes an articulated opposing view.
Posts that say only "urine idiot" or "why are you stupid" will be removed.
I would prefer a discussion board with actual discussion. But given that this assemblage of posters is not exactly an algonquin roundtable of wits and witticisms, that will not likely occur here. Enforcing strict rules of manners and decorum would leave too few posters with whom to engage.
I would not allow trolls like JG, ace and pinkle. They contribute nothing, they don't attempt to contribute but rather to "win" a battle of half wits with those willing to crawl into the gutter to engage them, or scream "LOOK AT ME" by posting incendiary tripe and irrelevant crap that they don't necessarily believe or care about.
Attention whores would not be permitted.
There may be other rules that i would impose but those are the main ones.
All that said, a free wheeling no holds barred, bare knuckle brawl is somehow satisfying albeit in a more earthy manner, as well.
But it is not may call and the monitors can do as they please.
