What I find racist is telling a child that they cannot succeed at something because of the melanin in their skin.
Math is the great equalizer, it does not care how you look or what you feel about it. Despite what some will say 2+2=4 every single time. If you got something different you do not lack intelligence or have an inability to do the math, you simply made a mistake. My job is to help children fix those mistakes.
When supposedly educated people say stupid things like math is racist that just gives kids an excuse to give up.
