The first 12 years he was one of the top 2 or 3 players in either league. Then he hit 164 homers from 2014 to 2019. That’s 27 a year which is more than the average MLB’er. Yes his average sucked those years, but his .325 average, 475 homers, 505 doubles, and 1,434 RBI’s from 2001 thru 2012 is extraordinary
