I am thinking the new era for all schools outside the successful, tradition rich club of schools will be to become a proving ground for players aspiring to perform on a bigger stage with national championship promise. Early playing time promises as freshman and/or sophomores will attract highly rated HS players to sign with schools like Mizzou, and then onto the money and prestige of big time programs if their game performance warrants NFL potential. This will also lessen the recruiting risks for top tier programs. The Texas A&M model of money upfront and attaching money to loyalty is the only way schools like Mizzou will compete for championships in the future. Free agency at the collegiate level is here and the playing field isn't level..
