I have watched almost every game of the CM era and watched most of his press conferences. I have neither seen nor heard anything that supports your assertion that CM doesn't care or isn't trying to the best of his ability.

You can't fairly make that assertion based on results alone. Certainly results have been disappointing and are not acceptable. His players continue to play hard. He has made a couple mid game adjustments that have worked. He is engaged during games. He is trying. It just isn't working.
