the following season (this year); it was reckless, and Cuonzo still couldn't win a tourney game despite having a senior-laden roster...

and (2) the pandemic; our senior-laden roster benefitted immensely from that in the first half of the season, due to other (younger & less experienced) teams missing so much practice in the off-season. That gap/advantage gradually diminished over the course of the season, and that's why the team was mediocre by the end of it.
