Look at the attendance of most of these games-other than the games on New Years' Eve and most of the Jan 1 bowl games, the other 20 or so bowl games have lots of empty seats. Until enough athletic directors complain about what a charade it is to put more than 40 schools through glorified scrimmages, will this situation change. It can't even be that advantageous for a coach and staff to spend the preparation and practice time just to get one more game's worth of work, especially with so many opt outs and the transfer portal.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
