It's apparent to me that HC Coach Drink has superior recruiting talents compared to HC Odom. Coach Odom typically recruited 3 star talent, and in 2018 and 2019 didn't get a 4 star on the list. I believe Coach Odom's downfall was in player development. His players didn't seem to "grow" or improve their skill sets. Also, his hiring of Dooley as OC and Walters as DC didn't improve the MU program.
It's easy to be impatient, however, I think it typically takes 3 or 4 recruiting classes before you really get the players for your "specific" program. I think Coach Drink gets a pass for 2020 since he was hired December 2019 and really had to just accept the recruitment list.
Coach Drink will succeed. He will get results beyond the fan base's expectations. Patience. Luther Burden is a game changer, plus the talents of the 2022 class is immense. When the roll-over of his classes is complete and we have all the remants of Coach BO players gone, Mizzou will be a top 10 school. We will join Alabama, Georgia, and TAM as the powers.
