Drink is "raw" and not-yet experienced as an SEC-level coach, but he has the most important skill necessary to thrive in this league. There's a steep learning curve at the P5 (let alone SEC) level, and he will no doubt learn some lessons along the way. The empty cupboard he inherited doesn't make things any easier for him.
Obviously, he took a gamble on Wilks and that gamble (apparently) hasn't paid off so far... but I have utmost confidence that Drink will handle it when the time is right. As I said before, when you have a young coach who lacks experience but has extremely high potential, patience is a virtue.
