This defense might not look so bad in the B12 or a G5 conference. But in the SEC yeah we are bad. Of course it's clear the scheme and execution is not up to par either. But clearly that happens at times when you make a system change. This isn't Odom like when you returned 9 starters from a great defense then junked that Defensive scheme to switch to another scheme for some unknown reason. I suspect that Wilks runs this system and runs it well but it could be a slow process and build if he get's that amount of time.
