Odom vs Pinkel (I read your title as Pinkel vs Odom)

so I'm leaving this up since I put it together.
In 4 years of Odom, he was sub .500 in his first season, .500 his last season, and above .500 the middle two. 7th, 3rdx2, and 4th in the East in that order. Lost both bowl appearances.
In Larry Smith's tenure (7 years), he was sub .500 5 times, and above .500 twice. Finished 6th and 7th in the Big 8, and 4th, 3rd, 2nd, 5th, 5th in the Big 12 North Division in that order.
Odom took over a team after 2015 and was in disorder but had talent on it. 2016 was a reset year that should have been better and then you can see the arc of Pinkel's player becoming veterans and graduating or going to the NFL. They're no where the same. The difference in 2001 is between Pinkel and Odom is that Odom could have motivate that team and gotten the most out of them but his lack of recruiting ability would have seen a return to Larry Smith statistics where Pinkel saw what he had to do to move the team forward.
