set the groundwork in the first couple of years to be successful in years 5-8. Going into year five CM is in complete rebuild mode. He completely wasted years 1-4 when it comes to program building.
Program building is not just about developing players for the future, granted that is usually the biggest part and is totally missing here, but it is also about developing an identity. What type of program is CM building here? He came in with the reputation as a lockdown defense-first guy. From the looks of it in year five, he is scraping his entire identity and rebooting.
What has he done in years 1-4 that suggest that he has a vision for this program? What has he done to convince anyone that he is the coach to move thisprogram forward?
