development of virus variants or mutations is completely normal. The common cold and flu are doing mutating on a continuous basis. Variants tend to be more transmissible and far less hazardous, as the Delta currently infecting the U.S. has proven. Go ahead and get the experimental gene therapy jab if you want, but I think I'll pass.
