Will deaths follow like they have in the past? So far doesn't seem like it. This recent fairly sharp uptick in cases has only been followed by a small uptick in deaths as you stated.

The fact we're still obsessed with cases tells you all you need to know. Hospitalizations and especially deaths are all that matter now.
