is inherently bigoted. "Illegal" used as a noun is code for racial and ethnic hatred. The Brits used the term for Jews who were fleeing the Nazis and entered Palestine without permission. Americans have used the term to describe Central Americans or Mexicans (I've never heard it to describe a Canadian somehow) entering the country to flee gangs, look for work, or for whatever reason. It "convicts" them without hearing their story or reasons for coming. Migrant workers residing here aren't even criminals (unless they have committed some crime not related to their migrant status); they are deported using civil admin procedures. Most don't even sneak across the border at night. They come on valid visas and overstay the expiration date. But they aren't criminals just because they are here, and they commit other crimes at lower rates than American citizens.

If you were honest, you would admit that Obama and now Biden are using procedure and sending back such migrants but usually giving the a hearing of some sort. Obama deported more people and had a procedure for doing so, and was more efficient at sending people back who had no valid reason to be here. Trump did a relatively poor job of doing that despite all his bluster and rhetoric.
